Surprise on Ellis Island

After celebrating their Sangeet at One World Observatory, Nina & Varun revealed their secret wedding day location to their guests — Ellis Island! Guests boarded ferries the next day for a Baraat on the water and attended a late afternoon ceremony with an epic view of lower Manhattan as the backdrop.

Triple thick invitations were letterpressed and foil stamped and then bevelled and hand painted with an ombré sunset edge. Copper sleeves with a vintage map of lower Manhattan and Brooklyn held the invitation along with a papaya colored Sangeet insert and a New York MetroCard shaped info card that detailed reply information and the couple’s website.

Favorite event details included brushed copper bar menus and cocktail napkins featuring a portrait of the couple’s beloved dog Stevie.
